NORTHERN CALIFORNIA'S PREMIER AUTO SHOW TO FEATURE 2010 VEHICLES FROM THE WORLD'S MAJOR MANUFACUTURES SAN FRANCISCO, CA. The San Francisco Chronicle|SFGate.com 52nd Annual International Auto Show, presented by AutoTrader.com, northern California's premier, largest and most spectacular auto show, will offer Bay Area residents their first opportunity to see the new 2010 model vehicles from the world's major manufacturers, all in one place. The International Auto Show, scheduled for Thursday, November 26 (Thanksgiving) through Wednesday, December 2 at San Francisco's Moscone Convention Center, will feature more than 800 vehicles representing the work of 37 manufacturers for the year 2009 and beyond. Supported by the California Motor Car Dealers Association, it is the only auto show held regionally that lures the dazzling high-tech displays from the world's major manufacturers. The show will have exhibits in the north and south halls, the Gateway Ballroom plus the lower lobby areas, filling the 1.2 million sq. ft. Moscone Center. It is expected to draw 350,000 spectators making it the largest exhibition of any kind in the greater Bay Area and the second largest auto show in the western United States. Among the manufacturers exhibiting their 2010 products are Acura, Bentley, BMW, Chrysler, Ferrari, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, KIA, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, Saab, Smart Car, Porsche, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo to name just a few. In addition to the 2010 model vehicles, the International Auto Show will feature hybrid and alternative fuel vehicles, The Big O Tires Extreme Autofest hosted by Verizon Wireless, the Academy of Art University Classic Car Collection, hot rods from Dominator Street Rods, racecars and will also provide a glimpse into the future with prototypes and concept vehicles. The Show will also have an auto accessory booth area with aftermarket products, interactive exhibits and much more. SAP Open at the HP Pavilion in San Jose The Worlds best male tennis pro's will desend on San Jose for the 2009 SAP Open. The SAP is one of the oldest turnaments in the world. This will be the 121st addition of the event. Stars such as Andy Roddick, James Blake, Tommy Haas and Leyton Heywitt will grace the court at the HP Pavilion Feb. 9-15. Thre 2009 edition will feature something old and something new. Legendary pro Pete Sampras loves playing at the SAP Open. Even though he has been retired for years now, Pete will make the trip out to san Jose and play in the SAP. He has returned to the draw for another year. Monterey gets ready to shine for the 2009 AT&T National Pro Am
The famed course at Pebble Beach will once again host the AT&T National Pro Am Feb. 9th thru he 15th, 2009 on the beautiful Monterey coast line. Some of the biggest stars in sports and entertainment will join some of the best golfers on the PGA Tour will join to play on the three courses that make up the AT&T. Along with Pebble Beach, golfers will try their luck on Poppy Hills and Spy Glass golf courses.
THE NCS and CCS get ready for track championships Some of the best track and field athletes in the country will try and make the state championships by placing in the top four at their section championships May 24th. Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines The racing season in the Bay Area is about to heat up. Infineon Raceway up in Sonoma and Laguna Seca Raceway will host some international known stars while there are smaller tracks around the bay that cater to the fan in all of us. May 16th-18th the show will get started with the Kawasaki AMA Superbike Showdown, presented by Supercuts at Infineon Raceway. Top riders like Mat Mladin (Suzuki), Miguel Duhamel (Honda) and Petaluma natives Eric Bostrom (Yamaha) and Ben Bostrom (Yamaha) will try and tame the road course at Infineon.
